philosophy

The Natural Change approach is based on the principles of the Deep Ecology Movement, developed by the Norwegian philosopher, Arne Naess. Deep Ecology acknowledges that all life on Earth is interconnected and interdependent. It recognises that human activity is exceeding the planets capacity to cope and calls for urgent changes in the way we live.

At the heart of deep ecology is a commitment to widespread, fundamental, social change. It draws deeply from Ghandian and Spinozan philosophy supporting non-violent, inclusive approaches.

Natural Change also draws on ancient and indigenous perspectives and practices, and anchors these, with respect and humility, in contemporary British culture.
