history

The core programme was first developed in 1996 by David Key, who has a background in outdoor education and ecopsychology. It has evolved over the years in close collaboration with psychotherapists Mary-Jayne Rust and Margaret Kerr.

In 2008 and 2010 respectively, WWF Scotland commissioned two Natural Change projects, which worked with people selected for their leadership influence in Scottish society. The aim of these projects was to catalyse social change for ecological sustainability.

The projects have met with considerable success in helping to change national policy and organisational culture. For more information about evidence and research please visit our resources section.
